10/8/10

10/8/10
“Home from home.” That's what they say in England – we say “home away from home.” That's how I feel flying on American Airlines. The flight attendants have been so warm and welcoming and generous to us. One I barely know gave me an amenity kit and another I don't know at all has been plying me with champagne. And they've included Lois and Jimmy and Grace. It's great to be part of a family that takes care of each other like this. It started at the ticket counter where the agent went out of her way to reseat us so that we were more or less together. It wasn't easy and took her time, but she did it. It's unasked for grace and a wonderful way to start our trip. I feel like God's smiling on us.
